LaminAIR™ flow technology ensures Butterfly devices consistently update all key IAQ measurements to meet the latest international WELL V2 standards for air safety including:
CO2 - Can make rooms stuffy and uncomfortable, reduce cognitive ability and even cause headaches.
Humidity - Encourages mold, allergies, and dust mites. If humidity is too low, problems such as dry skin, and a sore throat can arise. Maintaining relative humidity can potentially suppress the transmission of viruses like COVID-19
Temperature - Comfortable room temperatures range from 20-25 C. At night, a cooler room between 15-19 C can help our sleep.
VOC - High levels of VOCs can cause nose and throat irritation, headaches, and skin allergies.
PM 2.5 - Small enough to stay airborne for long periods of time, when inhaled they can reach all the way into the bloodstream.
PM 10 - Larger particles that can cause irritation and damage to the respiratory system.
Formaldehyde - Can cause symptoms ranging from nose and throat irritation to difficulty breathing.
Butterfly devices operate in real time which means that measurements are communicated instantly to our server and presented immediately to you online. We are very aware of data security and our portal features protected access via individual client login.
All Butterfly devices are designed at Imperial College London and built in the UK to exacting standards of quality with an emphasis on sustainability. We think carefully about maintenance, service and ongoing durability to ensure everything we make is future proof. We believe that buying a Butterfly device is an investment which will deliver valuable benefits to our customers for many years.
As in nature, we believe that colour is one of the best ways to communicate key information at a glance. We have designed our Butterfly wings to glow in evocative colours which change to indicate IAQ at any time. You can therefore see immediately if there are changes happening that need your attention and conveniently investigate the specifics of those changes via your client login.
As our client, you will be provided with a 3D digital model of your space using our Building Information Modelling Technology (BIM). This technique makes it easy to understand the specific IAQ facts and figures in your space so you can quickly see what is happening and make decisions accordingly which could range from opening a window to altering your Building Management System (BMS).
This feature is coming soon. Watch our platform experience demo below.
The Butterfly system is designed to meet the BRE Group certification – the internationally renowned building standards authority which is used by the UK Government. This standard meets and exceeds the requirements for the latest WELL accreditation which means that you can reassure your people that they are occupying a space where their health & wellbeing has been given top priority.
